About

Nestled along the banks of the Little Muskingum River in Wayne National Forest, I created the Kettle Farm in 2020 to share my excitement for small-scale, local farming with my hometown of Marietta. Prior to starting the farm, foraging, growing, and drying my own herbal tea had been a developing hobby of mine as I worked on trail crews in Montana, volunteered on a moshav in Israel, and was employed on veggie and dairy farms in Vermont.

I have put into practice on my Kettle Farm sustainable growing methods such as cover cropping, tilling by hand (what a great workout!), and adding compost to the field that I have created myself onsite. I do not use any synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides on my field.

100% of my teas are grown, dried, and packaged here at the farm in Marietta using compostable packaging. I process the herbal tea as both whole-leaf and tea sprigs, meaning that the leaves are intact instead of garbled, and rehydrate when steeped (no infuser is needed). I currently sell the tea at farmers markets, festivals, and shops across Ohio, and am expanding every year!
