Farm Expansion Plans

Winter is the season in which a farmer analyzes the previous year, and takes time to plan for the coming one! My brain was exploding this winter with future dreams for the farm. I have been praying for direction, and I received a couple of insights that have encouraged me to work towards making the farm and Marietta permanent fixtures in my life. It truly is my dream job in my dream town. 🙂

I will share a couple of goals that I have for this year, as perhaps some of you may have a puzzle piece that fits within the farm’s jigsaw!

1) I am looking for about 3 acres to purchase as the farm’s forever home, ideally within a 20 minute drive of Marietta. I am preparing to triple the farm’s production this year, with the long-term goal to be increasing the farm’s production by 10x. Feel free to let me know if you or a friend are selling land!

2) With production increasing, the farm will need to hire a couple of part-time employees between the months of August and October for harvesting and packaging. Consider if this is something you or someone you know may find fun!

I am very grateful that the farm was awarded a grant from the For Farmers Movement to purchase more tools and harvest buckets for new employees this year!

And now that winter is over, it is time to wake up the seeds and say Hello to this year’s team of plants—Welcome to the farm, seedlings!! I’m happy you’re here!
