New Variety: Eucalyptus!

One of the challenging parts of an herbal tea farm is trying to grow tea from all over the world…..in Southeastern Ohio’s climate! Every year I experiment with new varieties. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t! I am really excited that one of this year’s experiments WORKED (and tastes delicious)!

Eucalyptus is a tree native to Australia, and consumed primarily by koalas! However, when brewed as a tea, humans can benefit from eucalyptus’ antiseptic and decongestant properties. This tea is especially amazing when you have a sore throat, cough, or stuffy nose—just lean over your steaming mug and breathe in those eucalyptus vapors! It is an incredibly aromatic tea, and makes my entire house smell fantastic every time I steep a cup.

I will be debuting this tea at the Betsey Mills Craft Show in Marietta on Dec 7th from 9am-3pm! This is an awesome Christmas craft show loaded with unique hand-made gifts and delicious holiday goodies. See you there!!

*Medical note: Eucalyptus is a rather potent medicinal herb, and should not be consumed by children under 12 (in rare instances can induce seizures in children), during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if suffering from seizures.*
